🌒 LUNAR ECLIPSE AT CAROLINA RANCH

On Friday 28 August we will share a truly special night, watching a deep lunar eclipse until dawn with professional telescopes and astrophysicist Manuel Floris as our guide.

And that’s not all… we will also observe Saturn 🪐 and watch the eclipsed Moon set over the sea, waiting together for the first light of dawn.

“A lunar eclipse before dawn”. The red Moon is the most magical moment of a lunar eclipse, and we will be able to admire it in hundreds of other shades of colour, catching its faint reflections on the water as the Moon slowly sinks until it sets over the sea. A unique event that will take place before dawn on 28 August, and you can experience it moment by moment from the “Meadow of Dreams” (Prato dei Sogni) at Carolina Ranch.
We will start the day in a very special way, with an Italian-style breakfast, taking in the spectacle of the eclipse and carrying away unforgettable memories. How does the event work? We welcome you to the ranch at 4:00 am and settle into the “Meadow of Dreams”. With astrophysicist Manuel Floris, we will point a powerful telescope at the Moon and follow, moment by moment, what will be the greatest lunar eclipse until 31 December 2028. If you have a camera, it will be the perfect moment to capture the spectacle over the sea, and we will give you the right tips for the shot; if you bring your phone, we will help you take a beautiful night photo. And if the lunar eclipse is not enough for you, we will also have a telescope pointed at Saturn. As the eclipsed Moon sets over the sea, we will share the magical moments of twilight before dawn, and you can have breakfast with us. We look forward to seeing you!
