While the island is still asleep and the sky is lit by the first light of morning, Carolina Ranch opens its gates for a rare, intimate and deeply moving experience.
The sunrise horseback ride is designed for those who want to explore the island from a completely different perspective, far from the crowds, the noise and the rush of everyday life.
We set off in silence, before night has given way to day, and ride with our horses along the trails that lead to the coast as the sky slowly begins to change colour.
Twilight gives way to the first shades of dawn, the sea lights up on the horizon and nature wakes all around. The sound of hooves, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub and your horse’s breathing become your only travelling companions.
At one of the most breathtaking viewpoints on the island, we stop to watch one of the most captivating shows nature has to offer: the sunrise, seen from the saddle.

It costs €150 per person and requires a minimum of two people.
Most of the horses at our Ranch are Quarter Horses, the breed most widely used for western riding, and the dress code is classic cowboy: jeans, western boots, shirt and hat.
Western riding is based on training that makes the horse easy to ride, because it is used to being guided without constant leg pressure or continuous contact with the bit. This training allows even a beginner to guide the horse with simple commands while staying safe at all times. The care we put into training our horses and our deep understanding of herd behaviour allow us to offer unforgettable experiences to anyone who wants to try horseback riding, in small groups always led by two experienced guides. The western saddle is also one of the best suited to long rides, designed to give comfort and security to those who spent most of the day in the saddle all year round, like the cowboys.
