Carolina Ranch, much more than a ranch
Before we are a ranch, we are a family.
We are in Sant’Antioco, in South Sardinia, in a corner of the island where the Mediterranean scrub meets the cliffs and the sea of the west coast. This is where we chose to create Carolina Ranch.
A ranch where the animals come first
The real stars of this place are our animals. Horses and ponies are not simply part of the activities we offer, but part of our everyday life.
Experiencing the Ranch means getting to know them, respecting their rhythms and discovering the bond of trust that can grow between a person and an animal.
It is the same philosophy we try to pass on to children through our Pony School: not just learning to sit in the saddle, but getting close to the horse, caring for it and learning respect, responsibility and trust.

Over time Carolina Ranch has grown, but we have tried to keep its original spirit.
Today we take our guests out to discover the island on horseback rides and trail rides, quad tours and nature experiences, through some of the most breathtaking scenery on the west coast of Sant’Antioco.
We chose to focus on authentic experiences and small groups, because we believe the quality of an outing doesn’t depend on how many people take part, but on the time and attention we can give to each of them.
We don’t simply want to show you a place. We want you to live it.
When night falls, we look up at the sky
In recent years another great passion has become part of who we are at Carolina Ranch: astronomy.
The Ranch’s position, far from the lights of the big towns and overlooking the island’s west coast, lets us experience the sky as an integral part of the landscape.
That is how our stargazing nights and astronomy experiences in Sant’Antioco came about, created together with professionals and science communicators: evenings when the sunset slowly gives way to the stars, the Moon and views of the sky through professional telescopes.
Nature, archaeology, storytelling, music and astronomy come together in experiences that begin on the ground and end with your eyes turned towards the Universe.
Carolina Ranch is home
We like to think that the people who come here are not simply customers. Some come to ride along the coast, some for a quad adventure, some bring their children to meet a pony, and some arrive at sunset to watch the sky.
Different experiences, but with something in common: the wish to slow down for a few hours and truly experience this place.
Carolina Ranch has grown over the years, together with us and our daughter Carolina, but there is one thing we want to stay the same: the way we welcome people. Simply, attentively and with the pleasure of sharing what we love.
